COON RAPIDS, MN — High-tech precision met high-impact philanthropy this week as FRC Robotics Team 7068, the Mechanical Masterminds, joined forces with industry sponsor Delta ModTech for their annual meal-packing event benefitting Feed My Starving Children (FMSC).
The collaboration combined engineering spirit with community service, resulting in a staggering 30,672 meals packed. The 142 total boxes generated during the session are estimated to provide a full year of nutritional support for 84 children in need.
The event featured a "friendly but fierce" competition modeled after a standard robotics tournament. The student team was split into two groups—the Red Alliance and the Blue Alliance. While both sides worked with industrial efficiency, the Red Alliance secured the day's top honors, outpacing the Blue Alliance with a final box count of 16 to 8.
"We really enjoy the opportunity to help those in need and look forward to this event every year," a team member with Mechanical Masterminds stated.
The team would like to extend a formal thank you to Delta ModTech for the invitation, noting that the partnership continues to bridge the gap between classroom robotics and real-world leadership.
