EAST BETHEL, MN — The future of innovation was on full display recently as Mechanical Masterminds joined forces with Saint Francis Area Schools and the Cedar Creek PTO to host a high-energy STEM Night at the local elementary school.

The free community event drew an impressive crowd of over 200 students, transforming the school into a hands-on laboratory of discovery. With 10 unique learning stations to choose from, attendees explored various facets of science and technology. Among the diverse offerings, the "Elephant Toothpaste" demonstration quickly emerged as a crowd favorite, captivating young scientists with its foamy, chemical reactions.

Members of the Mechanical Masterminds robotics team were a big part of the evening’s success, volunteering their time to facilitate learning tables and showcase their technical prowess. The team’s centerpiece exhibit featured their award-winning 2026 robot, a highlight reel of this season’s competitive matches, and a "Snap Circuits" station where children could experiment with basic electronics.
"The team really enjoyed talking with families and increasing awareness of FIRST Robotics and the organization’s core values," the coach stated. "It was the perfect way to cap off our season."
The event served as both an educational outreach and a celebration of a successful competitive year. Following the overwhelming turnout and positive feedback, organizers are already looking ahead, with Mechanical Masterminds confirming they look forward to returning for next year’s event.
